We are:
The Project In a creative process, we create an object inspired by the music inspired by the object. Music and object is created simultaneously, from idea to finished product, in six sequential steps. Karin begins the sketchwork, an idea, a presentiment, in a physical form. The sketchwork is passed on to David, who takes part of it, lets himself get inspired by the material and creates a soundsketch. It can have the shape of a few bars of music, a section of a melody, or a sequence of chords. The second sketchwork is brought together with the first one and is send back to Karin, where the sketching continues with additions, adjustments, or removal. By the end of the process we have a finished interior object which is connected to a finished piece of music. The very different ways of expression, music composition and design, co-operate in the way that the object is given sound and the music is given form. One unit, although two parts, although one unit. In this project we explore an unconventional method of working and the keywords are new, free and big. The process starts during spring 2005 and the result is presented in spring
2006.
